Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
Household information: State of residence, children's names, and grade levels that you provide during onboarding.
Compliance data: Attendance records, work samples (including uploaded photos), checklist progress, and generated documents that you create within the app.
Usage data: Anonymous analytics about how you interact with the app, collected via privacy-respecting analytics tools.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize the Blue Folder service for your state.
To generate compliance documents and PDF binders.
To calculate your compliance score and send relevant reminders.
To improve the app based on anonymous usage patterns.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit. Uploaded files (photos, documents) are stored in secure cloud storage buckets with row-level security policies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your homeschool data belongs to you. We may use third-party services (payment processing, analytics) that have their own privacy policies.

AI Features

Blue Folder includes optional AI-powered features (such as description polishing). When you use these features, the text you submit is processed to generate improved descriptions. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Your Rights

You can:

Access, update, or delete your account information at any time.
Export your data as PDF binders.
Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data.

Children's Privacy

Blue Folder is designed for parents managing their children's homeschool records. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. All child information is entered and managed by the parent account holder.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
